inbox-triage

Use whenever inbox notes need classification, the user says 'inbox cleanup', 'clean up my inbox', 'разгреби inbox', or after /mn:health flags a backlog. Converts inbox captures into proper typed notes (atom, molecule, source, session) with taxonomy tags and MOC links.

initial-setup

Use on first install, when reconfiguring mnemo, or when the user says 'setup mnemo', 'mnemo not configured', 'change vault', 'reset config', 'мнемо настрой'. Interactive onboarding that creates ~/.mnemo/config.json with vault name, taxonomy, language preferences, and cascade integration settings. Also invoked automatically when any other mnemo skill detects a missing config.

link-discovery

Use automatically after creating any new Obsidian note to surface hidden connections with existing notes. Also use whenever the user asks 'find related notes', 'are there similar notes', 'connect this to others', or reviews a note for cross-references. Shows ranked suggestions with 'why relevant' explanations — does NOT auto-apply.

vault-health

Use whenever the user mentions vault maintenance, orphans, broken links, 'is my vault clean', 'проверь vault', or asks for vault statistics. Also invoke proactively after creating 3+ notes in one session, weekly, or after mass note creation — the longer between checks, the more invisible orphans accumulate.

memory-routing

Use whenever the user says 'remember this', 'save to memory', 'запомни', 'в память', 'сохрани', 'в мнемо', solved a bug worth remembering, made a non-obvious decision, or learned a gotcha. Routes each item to Obsidian + optional claude-mem + memory/ + CLAUDE.md with graceful degradation if a backend is unavailable.

session-notes

Use whenever significant work wraps up — a feature shipped, a bug fixed, a research thread finished, before the user steps away. Also triggers on 'записать сессию', 'session note', 'save session'. Creates a human-readable summary in Obsidian plus a handoff update so the next session picks up where you left off.

End-of-session orchestrator. Auto-saves decisions (mnemo:memory-routing) and creates session notes (mnemo:session-notes) without asking. Then recommends remaining skills. Triggers on: 'что забыли', 'session review', 'что осталось', 'all done?', 'review', end of significant work. The ONLY command users need at session end — handles everything.

vault-search

Use whenever the user wants to recall something from past work, find notes about a topic, or ask 'what did we decide about X', 'find everything about Y', 'summarize what we know about Z', 'что мы решили', 'что мы знаем про'. Prefer this over generic memory tools when an Obsidian vault is available — it synthesizes across multiple notes with source citations.
