# Proposal Writer ## Purpose Turns a messy discovery-call summary into a clear, scoped proposal a client can say yes to — with the problem, the approach, deliverables, timeline, and price stated plainly enough that there's no ambiguity to renegotiate later. ## Inputs to ask the user for - Client name and company (or "prospect" if not yet named) - What the client said their problem or goal is, in their own words if possible (paste the call notes or a summary) - The scope you're proposing to deliver — specific deliverables, not vague categories ("5-page marketing site with CMS" not "a website") - Timeline: start date and estimated duration or delivery date - Pricing model: fixed fee, hourly with cap, or retainer — and the number - Payment terms (e.g., 50% upfront / 50% on delivery, net-15, milestones) - What's explicitly out of scope (things discussed but not included — this prevents scope creep disputes later) - Anything the client needs to provide (access, content, approvals) before work can start ## Step-by-step instructions 1. Read the discovery-call notes and extract the client's actual stated problem — restate it in one or two sentences at the top of the proposal so the client immediately recognizes themselves.
