Close a working session: save what it taught where the next session will read it, retire what went stale, leave nothing hanging. Triggers: close the session, wrap up, let's call it a day, sum up the work, that's it for today, закрываем сессию, закрывай сессию, закругляемся, на сегодня заканчиваем, подведи итоги, подводим итоги, на сегодня всё

# close-session A session's knowledge dies with its context. Closing it means writing down whatever the next session would otherwise rediscover, in the place that session will actually read, and removing what stopped being true ## Steps 1. **Gather.** Work from the live context. If it was compacted, the summary is not evidence: reopen the current session's transcript through the harness's history or log capability and recover the user's corrections and exact error texts. Identify the current session explicitly rather than taking the newest file 2. **Route each fact to its owner.** A rule every session needs belongs in the agent's instructions (CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md…) and a fact a skill governs belongs in that skill: propose those as an exact edit and change them only on the user's yes. Everything else goes to the memory of the project it is about, the one a session started there will load, not the current directory's. When the harness scopes memory per project, a fact every project needs never goes there, and one shared by a few projects that no skill governs goes where the user says 3. **Save what is new.** One fact per memory, self-sufficient: what happened, why, the exact command, path or error text, and what to do instead, so a session that reads it neither falls into the same pitfall nor searches again for what was found. A secret, a token or a private value is never written, only its shape. If the memory keeps an index, the fact's line there says when to open it. Exte
