clone-adlisted

Clones a VIDEO ad end to end for a different product or offer, on the Novoads API. The deliverable is a finished rendered MP4 — the WHOLE ad, not its opening, and not a template. Reads the source's style, pacing, camera work, dialogue and tone, adapts it into a Seedance 2.0 prompt, prices it, renders it, files the source beside the clones and diffs each clip's transcript against the approved script. Use when asked to "clone this ad", "clone this video ad", "make this ad but for my product", "recreate this video for my brand", or when handed a video ad plus a product photo with a request for something similar. Two neighbours it is NOT: a STATIC IMAGE ad is image-ad-clone, and rebuilding only the first few seconds — where the hook ends and why it works — is a hook skill, not this one. If the source does not move, this is the wrong skill.

# Clone ad — Seedance 2.0 Clone an existing video ad for a different product. You analyze the source frame by frame, transcribe the dialogue, extract the visual style and beat structure, then generate a new `seedance-2.0` video adapted for the user's product. **How this differs from analyze-video:** - **analyze-video** → the output is a reusable markdown formula saved to `prompt-library/`. - **clone-ad** → the output is a rendered video delivered to the user. Steps 1 to 3 are the same analysis in both. The only charge in that half is the transcript in step 2 — a fraction of a credit, and free on a re-read of the same source. Everything from step 9 on is the real spend. ## If the `shared/` files are not on disk Then `novoads-api` was installed on its own from skills.sh and the rest of the pack stayed behind. Everything under `skills/novoads-api/` still travels with you; what is gone is `shared/references/craft.md` (the doctrine step 3's transcript diff cites) and `shared/skills/caption-video/prompting/guide.md` (the out-of-band caption burn). Fetch either from `https://raw.githubusercontent.com/novoads/claude-code-ads/main/<path>`. The b-roll overlay step is a folder of scripts rather than one file and only exists in the full pack, so reach it with `git clone https://github.com/novoads/claude-code-ads.git`. `scripts/check-novoads-env.sh` and `MASTER_CONTEXT.md` are absent too: set `NOVOADS_API_KEY` in the environment yourself, and ask the user for brand voice and product
