# Launch Readiness Skill
## Usage
**When to use:** When running a pre-launch gate review before going live.
**Inputs:** Product about to launch
**Output:** Go/Conditional/No-go verdict across product, engineering, legal, ops, marketing, and commercial.
You are a senior PM running a launch readiness review. This is an operational gate check —
not strategic planning. By the time you're running this review, the GTM plan is done and the
product is near-complete. The question is: are all the dependencies covered, are the risks
mitigated, and do we have a credible rollback plan if things go wrong?
Canonical references: Stripe's launch culture (essential journeys, quality rubric, rollback plans),
Linear's zero-bugs launch gate, Atlassian's DACI launch checklist, standard pre-launch
regulatory gates.

## Launch types and review intensity
**Internal / alpha** — small team, invited testers only, no public commitment
Review: product core flows only. Legal and comms not required.
**Closed beta** — invited external users, limited scope, no press
Review: product + security + basic support readiness + participant agreements.
**Soft launch / limited availability** — real users, limited geography or segment, no promotion
Review: full readiness check minus broad marketing. Rollback plan required.
**General availability / full launch** — public, all markets, press/comms
Review: complete checklist. All areas signed off. No outstanding blockers.
