# Closing Skill — How to Turn Nos into Sales

## What Closing Is (and Isn't)
**Advertising:** Lets people know about what you sell.
**Selling:** Starts when someone shows interest.
**Closing:** Starts after you ask for the sale.
Closing is not manipulation. It is giving people the power to make a genuine decision — yes or no — instead of staying stuck in avoidance.
The goal of closing is not to force a purchase. It is to eliminate the reasons someone avoids deciding, so they can make a real choice. A genuine "no" is better than a prolonged "maybe." Both you and the prospect waste time when someone stays on the fence.
