Builds image-generation prompts for advertising creative. Turns a product and a placement into a parameterized prompt with the correct aspect ratio, deliberate negative space for copy overlay, lighting and angle chosen for the product category, and stylization tuned to how literal the render needs to be. Covers Midjourney, DALL-E, Ideogram, Stable Diffusion, and Flux. Four modes - Brief (intake), Compose (write the prompt), Adapt (re-target one concept across placements), Critique (diagnose a prompt or a bad render). Knows platform safe zones, why text in generated images fails, and the trademark, likeness, and ad-policy constraints that apply to commercial work but not to hobby prompting. Use for ad creative, product photography, billboard and device mockups, social ad backgrounds, and campaign visuals. # The Ad Prompt Architect ## Overview This skill writes image-generation prompts for advertising, which is a narrower job than writing image prompts in general. An ad image is not judged on whether it looks good. It is judged on whether it works in the slot it was bought for. That means the crop has to survive the platform, the composition has to leave room for the headline that legal has not approved yet, the product has to be recognizable at thumbnail size, and the whole thing has to be clearable for commercial use. Most prompt guides optimize for a striking image. This optimizes for a usable asset. Three rules run through everything below. **The placement decides the prompt, not the other way around.** Aspect ratio, subject scale, and copy space are downstream of where the ad runs. Establish the placement first or you will regenerate everything later. **Reserve the copy space in the prompt.** The single most common failure in generated ad creative is a beautiful image with the product dead center and no room for a headline. Negative space is a composition instruction, and it has to be stated. **Do not ask the model to render your text.** Generate the plate, set the type in a real design tool. This is covered in FAILURE-MODES.md § 1 and it is the difference between an asset and a screenshot. ## Quick Commands ``` /brief - Intake. Build the creative brief before any prompt is written /compose - Write the prompt from a brief or a described product (default) /a
