# Haecceity Capture *The thisness that survives only if you catch it now* --- ## Origin Duns Scotus coined *haecceitas* — thisness, the principle of individuation that makes a thing *this* thing rather than any other instance of its kind. Two conversations about the same topics are not the same conversation. The difference is not in the content but in the grain — the specific texture of arrival, the moments of genuine surprise, the irreplaceable details that wouldn't survive paraphrase.
